Refund Policy – Effective April 8, 2025

At TaxTron, we strive to provide you with the most accurate and reliable tax software. Please read the policy below carefully before completing your purchase.

To help you make the right decision, we offer a free version of our software for both Mac and Windows platforms. You can download it anytime, navigate the full interface, prepare complete tax returns, and view all calculations and results. A license will only be required when you choose to print or submit the tax return to the CRA, allowing you to confidently evaluate the software before making a purchase.

1. No Refunds

All purchases made on or after April 8, 2025 are non-refundable, regardless of whether the license has been used, downloaded, or activated. However, we recognize that certain situations may require flexibility.

✅Exception – Multiple License Purchases: If multiple licenses were purchased in error, we will review the case carefully. In qualifying situations, a partial or full refund may be approved depending on the activation status and nature of the purchase. Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.

2. License Switching

We understand that mistakes can happen during purchase, and we’re happy to help with adjustments. If you purchased the incorrect version of the software (e.g., wrong year, platform, or edition), TaxTron may offer a one-time license switch upon request, provided the license has not been used to print or submit a return to the CRA.

If the new version is priced higher, you will be responsible for paying the difference.

No additional administrative fees will be applied for this switch.

Switching from Desktop to netfile Web: If you purchased a desktop license but want to use our Web version, no refund or price adjustment will be issued.

Under promotion, the Web version is currently free, and you’re welcome to use it as needed.

3. Agreement to Terms

By completing your purchase and check-marking the agreement box, you confirm that you have read and accepted the terms of this refund policy.
